Pop star Britney Spears has been recently announced as the 1st nominee for this year's 2008 MTV Video Music Awards with a nod for her hit single "Piece of Me."
The Britney Spears video was selected by MTV viewers who chose the singer with three other top female artists to represent the Best Female Video category. The vote was conducted through an online vote at MTV.com
