Angelina Jolie revealed her babies are likely to be fraternal rather than identical twins.

Speaking at a Cannes Film Festival party for new film Kung Fu Panda recently, she explained that “there was a line” on the sonogram suggesting the babies grew from two fertilized eggs rather than a single egg split into two embryos.

Over 6 months into her second pregnancy, the actress finally confirmed the news - and the twin rumours - this week when co-star Jack Black made a comment about the babies during an interview. Dustin Hoffman, who also provides a voice for the animated film, added that the babies are due to arrive on 19th August.

Angelina added that the couple’s existing four children are excited about the pending new arrivals: “The kids are excited and they are starting to understand about me being pregnant.

“We’ve had it before with Shiloh so they know what’s going on.

And the kids have also learn to abuse cravings as an excuse for eating treats like mum: “Zahara pretends she’s pregnant too and says she has an animal in her tummy. She says the piggy is making her eat all the chocolate brownies.”

“Pax says he’s got a baby monkey inside him too so it’s really fun in our house at the moment.”
